2008 American Buffalo Gold Coin or a Gold Buffalo is a 24-karat bullion gold coin minted by the US Mint first time in 2006 and it's the third year issue of the series. 2007 American Buffalo gold coin has gold composition of 24-karat or 99.99% and this coin is the first with the gold composition of 24-karat that the US government issued for the public. Unlike previous years, there're four different sizes and denominations in 2008. Three more fractions were added as the coin grew in popularity and demand for smaller American Buffalo gold coins was finally satisfied. All coins of the series come in brilliant or proof finishes with proof coins slightly more expensive. You can buy them individually, but they come in sets of four as well.
